People are often surprised at how many bird species nest in or visit Holland Park in Central London. This guide shows 50 of the birds you might see, how to identify them and where you have the best chance of spotting them in the park. Sometimes you might hear them before you see them.
Over the hundreds of years the parklckland has existed, it has seen countless changes and now consists of native woodland to the north, Holland House and formal flower gardens in the centre, with the south dedicated to sports and leisure. The bird species differ in each of these areas but all are good for bird spotting.
The Friends of Holland Park is a Charitable organisation whose role is to preserve and protect the park's natural and historic assets. The bird habitats are precious and it is vital that they are looked after.
