About this book

The Quaternary of the Solway Lowlands and Pennine Escarpment was produced to accompany the QRA field meeting to the Solway Lowlands and Pennine escarpment, held on 29th September - 2nd October 2010. The overall aim of this field meeting was to present the field evidence used in recent palaeoglaciological reconstructions of the former central sector of the British and Irish Ice Sheet (BIIS), focusing on the location of palaeo-ice divides, dispersal centres, flow trajectories and flow phasing, as well as styles of deglaciation in the region.
