Account of the Poinars' passionate pursuit of amber and the insects entrapped within it. In the mid 1970s the Poinars succeeded in sectioning a nematode worm embedded in amber. They found traces of the original tissue and bacteria that could be cultured. Their work was the inspiration for the film Jurassic Park.
