Biography

Ilya Temkin is a biologist specializing in mollusks and general evolutionary theory. Currently, Dr. Temkin is an assistant professor at Northern Virginia Community College (NOVA) and a Research Associate at the National Museum of Natural History (Smithsonian Institution). The American Museum of Natural History is one of the world's preeminent scientific, educational and cultural institutions. Since the Museum was founded in 1869, its collections have grown to include approximately 33 million specimens and artifacts.
