The TriggerSmart Kit uses sensors to trigger a camera based on sound, light intensity or movement. The TriggerSmart MCT-1 controller allows the user to adjust the sensitivity of the sensors, the delay between trigger and camera activation, and the number of photos taken when the camera is in continuous shoot mode. 

The multi-mode sensors work in three ways, making use of the fact that one is a transmitter and one is a receiver:

1. Use both together to create an infrared beam, by lining up the infrared transmitter opposite the receiver (up to two metres apart) - when this beam is broken the camera will be triggered.
2. The infrared transmitter has a built in microphone allowing it to be used as a sound sensor, and will trigger in response to a change in volume.
3. The infrared receiver incorporates a light intensity sensor, and will trigger in response to changes to the ambient light.

The kit also includes two standard 1/4" tripods to mount the sensors, two control cables to link the sensors to the control box, one trigger cable which can be used to connect an SLR camera (see below for camera compatibility) and a 2 degree baffle that will narrow the sensitivity cone of the infrared transmitter.
