Twin 20W Compact Fluorescent 'Lucent' Moth Trap

Note: Please note that this Moth trap is not compatible with the NHBS Inverter. 

This Twin 20W Skinner-type trap uses either one or two 20W Eco UV compact fluorescent lamps (blue 368nm), which each produce light equivalent to that of a standard 100W bulb. Furthermore, these bulbs do not require ballast units to operate which makes the trap extremely economical and easy to use as it can be plugged directly into the mains. These Eco UV bulbs run cool in operation making them safe for attended trapping events. They are also environmentally friendly, particularly in comparison to Mercury Vapour lamps.

The design of this trap is similar to a Skinner type trap but with the additional benefits of Heath trap type moth deflector vanes. Every component fits snugly in a robust water resistant PVC carry case (with drainage holes) which also acts as a base to hold the trap during operation. The design allows for maximum portability and easy storage.
