The 14,000mAh lithium battery and integrated solar panel provide enough power for weeks of consistent monitoring, and the built-in GPS tracker provides added peace of mind.
With four 850nm infrared LEDs providing an impressive 30 metre flash and trigger range, a trigger speed of under 1 second, and 90° field of view, the V300 is particularly well placed to monitor mammals at distance. The full HD 1920x1080 photographs and 1080p,15fps video provide crisp colour images during the day and bright black and white media at night, with automatic infrared adjustment assuring that it's always providing optimal results in low light and darkness.
Perhaps the most exciting aspect of Vosker's cameras are their cellular capabilities and the free app, which allows the user to access photos and videos as well as adjusting settings from anywhere in the world. Using their specialised AI image recognition software, the user can elect to receive mobile alerts when certain types of activity such as humans or vehicles are detected. The app even allows the user to access the cameras feed live, allowing for moment-by-moment observations or security monitoring.
Various data plans are available from Vosker, allowing the user to choose the option that best suits their needs. For 10€, up to 250 images and 10 full HD video clips can be remotely accessed per month, and images of the last 7 days will be stored on the cloud. For 15€ per month the user can download up to 500 images and 20 full HD videos, and photos remain available for 15 days. For 20€ a month, up to 2000 photos and 40 videos can be downloaded, and photos remain available for 60 days. A payment of 20€ allows for up to 40 minutes of livestreaming in high quality or 10 minutes in maximum quality within the next 365 days. All plans and add-ons can be accessed via the App. Upon activation, the user will gain a free 7-day trial of the 20€ tier subscription, after which they will need to choose a paid plan. All photos and videos are stored on the camera's SD card for manual retrieval if desired.
Upon purchase, the lithium battery will need to be charged for 12-24 hours (depending on the type of charger and battery level). It must be removed from the camera and plugged in, at which point a red light will indicate that it is charging. Once the light turns green it is fully charged. An additional power source can be added via the 5V MicroUSB port, but this cannot be used to charge the lithium battery.
