Wattles or Acacias together with the Eucalypts form a major component of the vegetation of the Australian landscape. There are more than 1000 described species in Australia and only twenty species occur naturally in Tasmania, four of which are endemic. Each is described and illustrated to life size showing foliage, flowers and seed pods and giving common and scientific names. Information is provided on both growing from seeds or from cuttings together with tips on planting in the garden and maintenance.
