Volume 11 is the first of the two flora volumes to deal with the monocotyledons, alphabetically covering families Agavaceae to Najadaceae. It includes descriptions of 428 species belonging to 137 genera and 27 families. Cyperaceae is the largest family with 146 entries, followed by Araceae with 89 entries.
