Volume 5 of this flora deals with Bryophytes (248 species under 34 families), Pteridophytes (195 species under 41 families) and Gymnosperms. The latter are rare in Bangladesh, as they prefer to grow at high altitudes. Only seven species have been recorded from the country, of which three are found in the wild.
