The book describes, with colour images, 108 Italian flowers from the most common to the more or less rare or endemic ones found during one of the 33 described excursions in part of the Dolomite territory limited to the Provinces of Trento and Bolzano in the Trentino Alto Adige Region and to the Province of Belluno in the Veneto Region.

The volume aims to make known the most valuable floristic and landscape aspects observable in an important portion of the Dolomites that extends from the Brenta Dolomites in the west to the Belluno Dolomites in the east. Among the main peaks and mountain ranges visited are the Pale di San Martino group, the Catinaccio, the Sella Group, Le Odle, Monte Cristallo, the Tre Cime di Lavaredo, Monte Pelmo, Monte Civetta, Nuvolau, the Averau, the Cinque Torri, the Latemar and Fanes groups, the Marmolada, the Antelao, the Cima d'Asta, Lagorai and Monzoni chains.

For each itinerary described, the main observable species are reported which gives a broad idea of ​​the enchanting landscape of the Dolomites that is particularly colourful during sunrise and sunset.

Il libro considera e raffigura, con immagini a colori, 108 fiori da quelli più comuni a quelli più o meno rari o endemici rinvenibili durante le 33 escursioni consigliate in una parte del territorio dolomitico circoscritta alle Province di Trento e Bolzano nella Regione Trentino Alto Adige ed alla Provincia di Belluno nella Regione Veneto.

Il volume si propone di rappresentare e far conoscere gli aspetti floristici e paesaggistici più pregevoli osservabili in una porzione importante delle Dolomiti che si estende dalle Dolomiti del Brenta ad ovest alle Dolomiti Bellunesi ad est.
Tra le principali cime e catene montuose visitate si ricordano il gruppo delle Pale di San Martino, il Catinaccio, il Gruppo del Sella, Le Odle, il Monte Cristallo, le Tre Cime di Lavaredo, il Monte Pelmo, il Monte Civetta, il Nuvolau, l'Averau, le Cinque Torri, i Gruppi del Latemar e di Fanes, la Marmolada, l'Antelao, le Catene di Cima d'Asta, del Lagorai e dei Monzoni.
