Volume 35 covers the family Droseraceae, which is a cosmopolitan family that has its centre of biodiversity in Australia and New Zealand and contains four genera. The genus Drosera contains some 120 species and is the only one to also be found in the neotropics. In Paraguay it is represented by just one genus and two species, D. brevifolia and D. communis.
