About this book

Language: French

This is the first guide devoted to exotic marine plants and animals. Sargasso, slipper limpet, Caulerpa ... many animal and plant species from elsewhere colonize our coasts and estuaries, some of which become invasive. For aach species a precise description is given. Also described are vectors of introduction (shipping, aquaculture, etc.), the effects on the environment and the positive or negative economic effects – following the example of the now exploited Pacific oyster.
