Hedgehogs are welcome visitors to gardens because they eat snails, slugs and caterpillars. They construct nests in hollow tree stumps, piles of wood, dense vegetation and piles of leaves, and in the autumn hedgehogs look for a safe hibernation site. These habitat requirements are not always easy to find in tidy gardens so hedgehogs will readily move in to our Hedgehog Dome placed in a dry, sheltered spot. Made from Woodcrete, it has an insulated base and is painted with brown protective paint to maintain the perfect temperature and is exceptionally long-lasting.
