This book deals with 451 species and subspecies belonging to 215 genera, 29 subfamilies of families ichneumonidae, of which two new genera have been established; 50 species are new to science; three subfamilies, 14 genera and 42 species are the first records for China. Some new host records are included and most species in this book are described or redescribed. The comparative characters of the new species with their similar species included in this book are briefly presented.
