About this book

Language: Spanish

This monograph is primarily aimed at students, biologists and botanists who do not usually deal with the Crassulaceae, a family of succulents also known as the stonecrop or orpine family. This is a reference book with all the new Mexican genera and species since the first volume. Possibly one of the reasons that makes it difficult to identify the species of this family, and succulents in general, is that herbarium leaves are often not useful for their determination, since they lose their third dimension when they dry. Another cause is the great morphological variability of most species, which has caused an enormous number of synonyms.
