About this book

Language: French

This book follows the format of Coléoptères de l’Île de La Réunion, published by Orphie Editions in 2016. This book contains a detailed summary of all that is known about the twenty-four ladybug species currently known from Réunion Island in the Indian Ocean, and even, in many respects, everything known about ladybugs in general. Just before the species monographs, a practical key makes it easy to identify these species, and richly illustrated entries with photographs, maps or graphs, usually covering one page or more, contain a wealth of information. Written by four entomologists who are among the best specialists in ladybugs and Réunion Island wildlife, and supported by local institutions, this book will certainly be of great service not only to entomologists, but also to all aaturalists who will visit this jewel in the Indian Ocean, or simply want to document its widllife. It should be noted that, even in Europe, the works on Coccinellidae are few and often old, which only enhances the value of this book.
