Book review: Radical by Nature |
| | In Radical by Nature, evolutionary biologist and entomologist James T. Costa provides an in-depth, intimate, and updated story of Victorian naturalist Alfred Russel Wallace. This book paints a mesmerising portrait of an inspirational thinker who was driven by a singular passion for science, a commitment to social justice and a lifelong sense of wonder and discovery.
2023 marked the 200th anniversary of the birth of Wallace. Best remembered as the father of biogeography, and co-discoverer of natural selection, he was an all-round fascinating person.
