About this product

The Num'axes PIE1073 Solar Wi-Fi Trail Camera expands on the PIE1060, featuring 60MP photo resolution, 4K video and no-glow LED illumination. With 1 central PIR sensor and 2 side PIR sensors, this camera boasts a detection angle of 120°, ideal for large observation areas. These sensors have three sensitivity levels, so the camera can be optimised for capturing footage at different ranges and in varied environments. The side PIR  sensors can also be deactivated. This camera is equipped with a built-in solar panel which charges the integrated lithium battery. Unlike other solar models, this camera has no need for additional AA battery power. A USB charger cable is provided for when weather conditions are unsuitable for solar-powered charging.

This camera also features innovative Wi-Fi technology, allowing for photos to be downloaded remotely when within the camera's signal range. The device creates its own Wi-Fi network, activated by Bluetooth from a smartphone. The free app, available for iOS and Android devices, also allows you to adjust camera settings when within range. This makes it a great choice to be set up in harder-to-reach areas.

Designed in France, the PIE1073 has an excellent trigger time of 0.3s, an adjustable video length of 5 to 180 seconds, and two invisible high-intensity infrared LEDs providing a flash range of up to 20 m. A 2.4-inch LCD colour screen built into the camera allows for photos, settings, and battery levels to be quickly checked in the field. Able to take a micro SD card with storage capacity between up to 256GB (class 10 minimum), it can store several thousand photos without running out of space. Capacity can be optimised by taking images only and by decreasing the photo quality (easily adjusted between 2MP and 60MP) and video resolution (settings range from 368p to 4K), allowing for plenty of options for performance customisation. It has a multi-shot mode, with the option to take up to ten consecutive photos per trigger event, ensuring the best chance of capturing great wildlife images.  The time-lapse feature can be used to capture a series of images between set times of day, at variable intervals that can be selected via the timer setting. Overall the settings allow for an impressive degree of control, with advanced options to adjust the shutter speed (1/15, 1/20, and 1/30), flash interval, and to switch off capture or IR flash if the solar battery is insufficiently charged at night.
