The purpose of the Plant Specialists Index is to provide an easy way to learn of the reserch and geographic specialities of staff members of institutions listed in edition 8 of Index Herbariorum (Herbaria) (Holmgren et al., 1990). All updates that have come to our attention since the publication of edition 8 and information on the specialities of staff members for 19 new herbaria have been included. The Plant Specialists Index has been organized into six sections: Taxonomic index, Geographic index, Subject index, Herbarium address index, Scientific names index, and Specialist index.
