The Eurasian otter (Lutra lutra) is one of the most appealing wild mammals to be found in Britain. After years of decline it is now enjoying a remarkable recovery, and is now a welcome sight in many British rivers. This beautifully illustrated book, featuring specially-commissioned photography by award-wining nature photographer Laurie Campbell, follows a year in the life of river otters in the River Tweed, a river Laurie has known well all his life. In addition to seasonal observations of the otter's year together with other details about river life, Otters: Return to the River also includes personal reflections from Laurie about his career as a wildlife photographer that has taken him all over the world.
