The vernier dial calipers are particularly suitable for tarsus and head-bill measurements during bird ringing. These are manufactured from non-metallic material with a 50% fiberglass content which makes them very durable. They provide inside, outside and depth measurements with the plastic rod, and the impact-resistant dial can be recalibrated to zero.
