The Mammal Society

The Mammal Society was founded in 1954 and exists to study, monitor and protect the 101 species of terrestrial and marine mammals found in and around Britain and Ireland. The society runs many training courses each year on mammal conservation and identification, and on survey and monitoring techniques.
