The Axion 2 XG35 LRF by Pulsar is a capable and enhanced new addition to the Axion range. A laser range finder and large optical and digital zoom sets this thermal scope apart from other scopes in the same range. This allows the user to focus on thermal objects in the distance without compromising the objective by getting closer and potentially spooking what they are trying to view. The high-resolution microbolometer with a 640×480, 12 µm, NETD <40mK thermal sensor helps give a crisp and detailed image in a small physical package with a smaller pixel pitch allowing a more refined and lightweight thermal scope. This sensor can be auto-calibrated or can be fully manually or semi-manually calibrated ensuring consistent performance across all uses.
A high-contrast AMOLED display with enhanced colour rendering ensures that whatever images you are capturing are clear and easy to analyse in the moment in all conditions. This is paired with enhanced image processing which renders high-quality images and video with additional options such as; levels of signal amplification, smoothing filter, brightness and contrast adjustments. These additional controls provide the user with greater control over their images, enhancing the scopes use in challenging conditions such as rain or fog.
The body of the scope is made of durable magnesium alloy which provides not only a strong and lightweight housing, but also a heat sink for the internal thermal sensor and other electrical components. Ensuring consistent performance over the 7 hours of maximum use thanks to the changeable APS5 rechargeable battery.
