About this book

Language: Spanish

This book consists of three well-defined parts. The first is an explanatory introduction to the chapters that will follow. The reasoned justification of the chosen geographical area and a detailed description of the geological origin, its climate and its vegetation, as well as a biogeographic synthesis, a phylogeographic essay and a list of reptiles that have been found in the area.

The second part consists of seven chapters that exhaustively describe the reptile species in the area. Finally, the third part consists of a chapter that offers a review of some of the conservation problems that Macaronesian reptiles currently face. All are accompanied by a careful presentation and colour photographs and illustrations.
