About this product

This special edition Royal Observatory Greenwich StarSense Explorer DX 100AZ is a great refractor telescope to start your astronomy journey. The telescope comes with a plethora of accessories, including but not limited to a sturdy, adjustable full-length tripod, Custom sized backpack and 2 different sized eyepieces. The setup of the telescope is easy and accessible requiring no tools to assemble. During the day the telescope can perform well as a far-reach spotting scope. However, during the night, it really shines. High-quality optics give you the best views the night sky has to offer. This is all controlled with a manual altazimuth mount with smooth dual-axis slow motion to make object tracking a breeze.  The two eyepieces (25 mm and 10 mm) offer differing magnifications for high and low-power viewing. There is also a red dot finderscope to identify target objects quickly and a 90-degree erect image diagonal to make sure you are always looking at right-side-up images or to prevent neck strain.

Starsense Explorer software makes navigating the night sky a breeze, prompting movement of the scope using the phone's tilt sensors and GPS while it is installed in the Starsense Explorer dock. Guiding you to your target using easy-to-follow arrows across the screen of your mobile device. This telescope also comes with Starry Night Planetarium software to make learning about the night sky accessible and fun for all.

Warranty: 2 years

Never look directly at the Sun with the naked eye or with an optic (unless you have the proper solar filter). Permanent and irreversible eye damage may result.
Never use your optic to project an image of the Sun onto any surface. Internal heat build-up can damage the optic and any accessories attached to it.
Never leave your optic unsupervised. Make sure an adult who is familiar with the correct operating procedures is with your optic at all times, especially when children are present
