This set is ideal for sampling tough soil layers such as dry soils or soils containing debris. The gouge auger is made of non-toxic high tensile strength steel, designed to be sturdy and efficient whilst causing minimal disturbance to the sample core. An integrated beating head and rubber grips coupled with the supplied impact-absorbing mallet allows for rapid sampling.
This kit can be applied to soil sampling (above and below the groundwater table) and environmental soil research. Samples can be taken up to a depth of 1 metre.
Note: Gouge bodies will not be filled completely by medium-harder soils.
