About this product

Solitary bees are at serious risk in the UK due to a variety of factors including the extensive destruction of suitable nesting sites. By providing suitable tunnels we can help slow the rate of decline and encourage these vital pollinators in our gardens.

The solitary bee nesting tin is plastic-free, coming ready-to-hand and wrapped in an easy-to-peel foil wrap. It provides a perfect nesting habitat for Mason, Orchard, and Leafcutter bees. The cardboard nest tubes are replaceable to extend the nesting tin's life and provide a well-insulated burrow for optimum nesting conditions. The built-in moveable woodpecker and predator guard helps protect nesting bees from hungry wildlife.

The nesting tin should be hung in a sheltered spot in your garden, out of direct sunlight close to a variety of nectar plants and a water source if possible. Once it is filled, the perforated metal lid can be used to protect the card nesting tubes from degrading over winter.
