About this product

This tripod by Viking Optical is the ideal versatile accompaniment to your spotting scopes and monoculars, large and small. The fully adjustable tripod leg system is tipped with deployable ground spikes for increased grip on steep or slippery surfaces. Made from lightweight aluminium the tripod is both highly portable and durable and can be easily carried by hand or in the specifically designed carrying case. The quick-release mounting point has both a 1/4 and 3/8 inch screw size for fitting to the base of a scope or monocular and a high visibility spirit level to easily establish how level the tripod is.

The fluid-filled bezel gives smooth adjustments and sensitivity of panning. The tilt of the observation device can be tightened up or loosened with an easy-to-use handle. The mounting element can be inverted to make use while lying down possible and macro photography more accessible. A bag hook is located on the bottom of the main element of the tripod where a camera bag or sandbag can be attached to help weigh the tripod down and maintain a low centre of balance on uneven terrain or with heavy equipment attached to the bezel. The legs are fully telescoping and extendable and can be locked in any pivot position. to account for uneven terrain.
