Swat!: A Fly's Guide to Staying Alive tells in cartoon form about the life of a housefly and the many dangers it faces. It is a fun tale...as well as an engaging one for children, and informative too, based on the real facts of life. As life is not very easy at the best of times, our humble housefly hero Buzzter is coached in survival by the wise old bluebottle Professor Hector Halfbottle. Along the way he encounters such hungry horrors as flytraps, spiders, lizard, frogs and birds, as well as the fly's worst enemy – Man. So if you are a fly, learn to be aware…and absolutely on your guard. As the author himself states, "this book is ideal for any child who adores death, destruction, peril and poo!"
