About this book

The successor to The Biology of the Rattlesnakes, this volume presents up to date information on the taxonomic status of this group of pit-vipers. The volume is a product of a 2011 conference held in Tucson, Arizona which had 240 attendees giving approx. 80 presentations. Contained within the volume is a breadth of information from disciplines such as conservation, disease, public education, physiology, population biology, spatial ecology, thermal biology, and venom. Each contribution has been carefully peer-reviewed by multiple experts in the field. With a foreword written by Dr. Jonathan Campbell, the volume contains 22 chapters and four memorials to leading rattlesnake experts, some of whom were contributors to this volume.
