Version 6 now covers over 600 species, 100 more than in Version 4, including most of the breeding birds of North Africa, the Middle East and the Canaries plus most of the rarities seen over 20 times in Europe since 1958. Although these extra 100 rarer species were covered in Version 5, they were represented by video clips only, and this guide has now been updated to provide these extra species with full multimedia coverage, including videos, sounds, illustrations, text, maps, commentaries, etc. In all, the guide contains over 2000 video clips covering almost every species, over 1000 sound recordings - the songs and calls for almost every species, over 1000 illustrations including brand new artwork by John Gale and Mike Langman, and 5000 screens of encyclopaedic text.
