About this book

Opened in the summer of 2016 and stretching 320 metres along either side of the Broad Walk path at Kew Gardens, the Great Broad Walk Borders are the longest double herbaceous borders in the country. They are planted for summer colour to create a spectacular and unforgettable floral display.

The borders were designed by Kew's Head of Garden Design, Richard Wilford, and comprise a series of linked circles bisected by the path. In The Great Broad Walk Borders, the planting plans are reproduced with the names of all the plants used to create this wonderful new horticultural feature for Kew.
