This book contains the first identification keys to the hopper fauna of Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxemburg, comprising altogether 487 species, based on new checklists for the three countries. It is closely linked to the basic work The Planthoppers and Leafhoppers of Germany.
Richly-illustrated dichotomous keys lead to 11 families, 12 subfamilies of the Cicadellidae and all 195 genera. More than 70 % of the species are illustrated by habitus drawings. Those 13 species which are not found in Germany are fully treated and illustrated.
