Crafted in a sleek "trough box" design, this maternity bat box is made of FSC Plywood and grip mortar. Bats easily enter through the textured exterior, greeted by three spacious compartments inside. A slanted entry plank enables smooth access. For this bat box you have the choice of omitting or including the back panel. This bat box is particularly designed for summer maternity roosting.
Without the back panel, the bat box is particularly suitable for mounting against a rough surface such as a brick or rough cast concrete wall. It can, however, also be mounted on any external flat surface that is large enough. An included foam weather strip provides for a snug fit against the wall surface, preventing both water and draught ingress and therefore ensures optimal performance and insulation. With the back panel included the bat box is more suitable for mounting against smooth surfaces or trees. The inside of the back panel is roughened with grip mortar, allowing the bats to climb inside the box with ease.
MULTI-MONTI fixings are included and are designed to be used without a Rawl plug. The screw anchor is approved for installation in cracked and uncracked concrete. It is also suitable for a whole range of other building materials, such as: Clinker, Natural stone (e.g. marble), Sand-lime brick, Hollow concrete block and Solid brick.
