About this product

This modular bat tube from Unitura is a highly versatile built-in solution for bat mitigation and integration into a wall. Each tube has single or multiple large crevices depending on the type with a sloped entrance hole to accommodate bats leaving and entering the site and promote the runoff of water away from the interior of the tube and an attached entrance stone of 105mm. The tubes are part of a modular range of bat roosts which can be connected in the facade. The adjacent boxes must be connected with a strong construction adhesive designed for use on masonry or brickwork.

The tubes come in single, double and triple crevice layers and with an entryway. They can be mixed and matched completely with modular bat tubes but for a wall of constant depth, the same amount of layers should be used to maintain access for the bats.

The bat tubes can be easily connected to each other on the construction site. All elements have breakaway walls on both sides and the top and a plywood backing for a front-to-back arrangement. On the side where two tubes need to be connected, the breakaway wall should be removed. Removing a breakaway wall is best done with a hammer and chisel. Once both breakaway walls are removed, the two tubes can be placed against each other, with the obtained openings facing each other to create a larger occupiable space for the bats.
