Language: Chinese with English and scientific nomenclature
Ulanqab or Wulánchábù, a region administered as a prefecture-level city in south-central Inner Mongolia, People's Republic of China, is a vast territory and varied natural landscape, with mountains, wetlands, forests, grasslands, farmland and other habitats. These diverse and unique types of environments create its rich bird diversity. During 2012 to 2013 the Wulanchabu Municipal Environmental Protection Bureau and the College of Life Sciences, Inner Mongolia University worked together to survey the bird diversity of this region. A total of 215 bird species are described, including details on their biology; their Chinese, Latin, and English names; residence type; morphology; and population ecology.
