The Zeiss DTI 3 series of scopes are robust and capable thermal imaging devices from Zeiss and provide unparalleled performance and image quality. The 384x288 pixel sensor with 17μm pixel pitch captures high contrast and sharp images through a choice of 8 different colour modes, giving options depending on the situation. This is twinned with picture-in-picture (PIP) capabilities so you can zoom areas of an image while following the bigger picture and 'hot track' which will highlight the hottest point in an image and frame it for easy target acquisition. Each device comes with a rechargeable Lithium-ion battery for up to 8 hours of use. The device also has a smart power management system which will put the device into standby after a pre-programmed amount of time decided on by the user.
Ergonomically the scope has a centre-positioned scroll wheel for selecting zoom and navigating the menu in either a left or right-handed direction, settings can be set as shortcuts to this menu to quickly access your desired user settings at a moment's notice. A heat detection notification LED is present on the device so that you can leave the device in situ and only use the eyepiece when heat movement is detected by the scope and you are notified by the inconspicuous LED. This is supplemented with 3 distinct observation modes: Universal, Detect and Fog for use when the situation calls for it.
