Biogents Carbon Dioxide Upgrade Set

Using a Biogents CO_² Upgrade Set with your BG-Sentinel 2 Mosquito Trap allows the use of an additional attractant in the form of carbon dioxide. Carbon dioxide is an important attractant to mosquitoes, particularly Culicinae and Anophelinae species. It can also help to improve the catch rates of hematophagous insects such as black flies, stable flies, biting midges and New World sand flies. CO_² is released from a nozzle positioned directly above the trap, whilst the CO_² tube equipped with sinter plugs regulates the flow rate to optimize the dispersal of the carbon dioxide. There is an option of two different flow rates, 8.3 and 20.8g/h, which can help the flow rate suit local and seasonal mosquito levels.

Note: To use the upgrade set you will require a carbon dioxide canister - this must be purchased separately and is not supplied by NHBS. A 10kg bottle is recommended.

* Pressure-reducing regulator with pressure gauge and knob to adjust pressure and CO_²  flow rates
