The classic 3 volume work on British spiders, now available as a Pisces CD-book.
From the publisher's announcement:
The first 2 volumes of Locket & Millidge's work were completed in 1951 and 53, and remain classic texts on the spiders of Britain. The 3rd volume, with 3rd author Merrett, completed in 1974, contains additional species, corrections and distribution maps.
Pisces Conservation are pleased to have worked in collaboration with the Ray Society, the original publishers of the books, to re-issue them in electronic form.
All 3 volumes are now available on a single CD, for Windows PCs and Macs, with fully searchable text and hyperlinks for ease of navigation.
The quality of reproduction of illustrations and text is excellent.
The books are in Adobe Acrobat pdf format (with free Reader software supplied), allowing high-quality printing of the text and plates.
