This mesh insect cage from BugDorm consists of a lightweight fibreglass frame which is completely collapsible. A mesh tent threads onto this frame to create an enclosure suitable for maintaining and breeding insects. It is 93cm in height, making it suitable for large potted plants. The front and back panels of the cage are made from clear vinyl for observation and the sides and top of the cage are made from netting for ventilation. Choose between 680μm polyester mesh or 160μm fine nylon mesh; The nylon version is ideal for tiny invertebrates such as aphids, thrips and parasitic wasps.
The front panel of the cage has a large zippered door which allows you to add and remove plants. It also has two smaller sleeve openings (18cm diameter) which provide access to different parts of the cage with minimal risk of insects escaping. A strip of fabric suspended across the ceiling of the cage is ideal for hanging feeders.
