Bait traps are used to capture Lepidoptera attracted to fermenting fruit, faeces, and rotting meat. These traps have a number of features designed to improve performance and ease of use.
Includes the 39cm (15.5") round black 5mm PVC landing platform. The support cords attaching the main trap cylinder to the landing platform can be easily adjusted from 2 cm (0.75") to up to 13 cm (5") using sliding mini cord-locks, avoiding you having to struggle with strings and knots.
The main netting cylinder is fully washable and is sewn with no internal projecting seams. A double top loop provides a secure hanging point, minimising 'wobble'. The cylinder is fitted with a full length vertical entry double-slider side zip, for easy access to the butterflies at any point, and for the removal of unwanted insects. The 40cm trap also features an integral cone, to minimise butterfly escape.
