All the vascular plants of China are covered, with brief descriptions, information on distribution inside and outside China, identification keys and details on problematic species. Each volume includes indexes to Chinese names and to scientific names, with a cumulative index in a supplementary volume. These volumes are largely an English language revision of the Flora Republicae Popularis Sinicae, with taxonomy reflecting current understanding.
