Radical Perspectives

For over thirty years the journal Radical History Review has nurtured politically engaged historical research. Radical Perspectives furthers this tradition by providing a home for historical studies conceived as political interventions. While some books in the series privilege alternative and oppositional political cultures, all should be concerned with the ways power is constituted, contested, and used. The series encompasses a broad range of work, some of which experiment with radical and nonlinear ways of telling stories from multiple perspectives; transcend conventional boundaries of region and nation; challenge eurocentric narratives; explore issues of memory, nostalgia, and contested pasts in visual media and public culture; make the private sphere public; and illuminate the intersection of identities such as race, gender, class, and sexuality.
