A Field Guide to the Large Fungi of FRIM provides a guide to the identification of 123 species of the large fungi (macrofungi) that are to be found in the grounds of the Forest Research Institute Malaysia (FRIM). An introduction provides a brief history of FRIM, an idea of the tree planted at FRIM, what constitutes the fungi, their importance, the fungal fruiting seasons at FRIM and tips on their identification. Colour photographs and a description of the external morphological features of each of the 120 basidiomycetes and 3 ascomycetes are provided. Information on their ecology, distribution and edibility is also included.
