This guide presents a list of all the species of amphibians and reptiles with confirmed presence in the Sierras de Ventania (a mountain range in the province of Buenos Aires, Argentina), with data on their geographical distribution, characteristics, habits of the species and state of conservation. It also includes a simple dichotomous key for the correct identification of all species. Several of them are endemic, that is, they are only found in the Sierras de Ventania. For this reason, their legal protection is complemented by the correct recognition of the species and their habitats, as well as the state of their populations and of course the dissemination to the public.

En esta guía se presenta el listado de todas las especies de anfibios y reptiles con presencia confirmada en las Sierras de Ventania (provincia de Buenos Aires), con datos de su distribución geográfica, características, hábitos de la especie y estado de conservación. Incluye además una clave dicotómica, lo más sencilla posible, para la correcta identificación de todas las especies. Varias de ellas son endémicas, es decir que solo se las encuentra en las Sierras de Ventania. Por esta razón entendemos que su protección legal se complementa con el correcto reconocimiento de las especies y de sus hábitats, así como también del estado de sus poblaciones y por supuesto la difusión a la ciudadanía.
