The Haglöf Walktax Thread Meter is a reliable distance measuring indicator. It is manufactured from strong polycarbonate plastic which is drop and shock resistant. A see through window provides clear readings and a reset button allows you to set the counter to zero. The case also has an exterior thread cutter. The Walktax can be clipped to the belt for hands-free measuring. 

Measuring thread is made from biodegradable cotton which is strong enough to withstand the strain when measuring but will decompose in approximately one to three years, depending on the weather and climate. Measuring thread is purchased separately in packs of ten spools. Each spool contains 80g (approx. 2700m) of thread.
