David Measures, who died in 2011, was arguably the foremost UK-based painter of butterflies. A gifted wildlife artist, he became fascinated by the insects and devoted much of his life to observing, sketching and commenting on their activities. This is the first book to collate David’s paintings of all native British species of butterfly.
"[...] top marks for an excellent presentation which celebrates the life and work of a talented and very individual artist"
