Language: Bilingual in English and Chinese
Situated in the central section of Central Mountain Range, Hehuan Mountain Range (Hehuanshan) is located on the administrative boundaries of Hualien county, Xiulin Township and Nantou County, Renai Township, Taiwan. Connected by seven peaks with the 3422-meter high Hehuan N. Peak as the highest point. Hehuanshan is the source of both Liwu River of eastern Taiwan and Dajia River of Western Taiwan. The collecting sites treated in Moths of Hehuanshan are located higher than 2350 m.
Altogether 19 moth families and 934 species are recorded and illustrated in Moths of Hehuanshan. All identified species from the Hehuanshan are included. in addition, the genera and species, that are area, uncommon or have no clear taxonomic explanation or bionomics previously, are discussed. Several new taxa are described from the Hehuanshan or other areas in taiwan. 20 species are newly recorded from the different habitats of Taiwan.
