About this book

North Norfolk’s wildlife and landscapes are rich and dynamic; indeed some of Britain’s greatest natural sights and spectacles can be encountered. North Norfolk has justifiably become famed for its breeding terns, shorebirds, its wintering wild geese, a flourishing seal population and more barn owls, hares and partridges than in many other parts of the country.

In North Norfolk's Wildlife, naturalists Andrew Bloomfield and Gary Smith set out to produce a unique appreciation and celebration of the region’s wildlife. Combining their local knowledge with a well researched and informative text and complimented by a sumptuous selection of photographs depicting the most characteristic and specialist species of the area it aims to both educate and inspire. North Norfolk is a wonderful place that everyone should enjoy but should not take for granted. The landscape and its birds, animals, plants and insects need preservation and for this to happen its population needs to be aware of what can be seen around them and with this book that should be possible.
